Sebastian
Beagle Male
We adopted
Sebastian last Thanksgiving from
the Cascade Rescue. He had been
almost beaten to death by his
previous owner, had no feeling
in his hind legs, and couldn't
walk. With the love, patience,
and care of the rescue,
Sebastian has made a remarkable
recovery, and can even walk
again! The minute I saw
Sebastian's picture, I knew he
would be mine. There was
something in his face that just
spoke volumes to me. He had a
different name in rescue, so
when he came to us, we renamed
him Sebastian which means
"revered." We always want him to
know he's loved and cared for!
His "godmother" gave him the
middle name of Michael for the
arch angel. This way he'll
always have the arch angel
Michael watching over him!

Shiloh
Male
Beagle Kansas
Shiloh &
I, along with his baby sister Shasta live in
Topeka, Kansas. There are MANY things he
loves such as playing with his baby sister
(when HE wants to);" hunting" in our
backyard - Shiloh thinks he is God's gift to
the hunter; visiting at the nursing home and
at a local hospice - Shiloh is a registered
visiting therapy dog; being around children
at the library so they can read to him -
Shiloh is a certified R.E.A.D. dog and
sleeping on the couch but he IS a Beagle so
I believe his most favorite - EATING - ANY
food he can find. Being able to share him is
what makes him so special and not just to me
but to those we visit. I think when we are
visiting - he LOVES it - you can tell by his
actions - trotting down the hallways with
his tail held high, wagging back & forth -
and I love being able to do that with him.
One more thing that makes him special -
snuggling on the sofa. |

Ranger
Beagle
Female
Ranger loves running outside,
playing with her Beagle brother
and sister, giving out love to
anyone that will let her, she's
just a sweetheart. Another
favorite pastime of hers is
eating, but that's not unusual
for a Beagle ;)
Ranger is a very special girl
that didn't have it easy in the
first 8 months of her live. She
came to us because she needed a
better home then she had. Since
then Ranger has endured things
like a degenerative spine
disease and surgery after eating
part of a rug. She had half her
small intestines removed and we
almost lost her. But you
wouldn't know it today. She is 7
years old and everyone would
still think she is a puppy, the
only thing giving her age away
is all that grey in her face :-)
She's just goofy and lovey all
the way around. I think this
picture of her, recently taken,
says it all.

Pansy
Female
Beagle Chattanooga, TN
Pansy is a 2 1/2 yr. old female beagle. We
live near Chattanooga, TN. Two weeks after
my precious husband of 35 yrs. passed away
from cancer, my daughters thought I needed a
beagle puppy to "rescue" me. One drove me a
couple hours away to pick her out and
another paid for her and her initial
vetting. She has such a sweet disposition
and is so good with all my grandchildren.
She still loves to play rough with the grand
dogs that come to visit! Pansy is so much
company to me and I love her dearly. I hope
I can make her as happy as she makes me. |

Gizmo
Male
Beagle
Everett, Washington
Our dog's name is Gizmo, he is a 2 year
old male Beagle. He brings a lot of joy
into our home and everyone loves him.
His favorite things to do besides sleep,
eat and smell is play with old tied
together socks, or his fire hose toy.
Walks are fun but slow with Gizmo as we
must sniff everything and anything. He
loves to chase my cat around the house,
I think she kind of enjoys it too!

Millie
Female
Beagle
Marblehead, Massachusetts
Millie and her soul mate Barkley were
rescued in Indiana and ended
out in Pennsylvania in 2005. They were in
terrible physical
condition, but their foster parents nursed
them back to health and
put them up for adoption, hoping they would
go together. We drove
all night from Marblehead, MA to State
College, PA to arrive early in
the morning. Their gotcha day is April
15th..tax day!!! and we
estimate their birthdays are July
4th....perfect since they have
their own built in noisemakers! Millie loves
to get dressed up but
doesn't like the camera flash. This picture
was taken after about 5
others so she was getting pretty unhappy,
but the look is priceless. |

Love Bandit
Female
BeagleMix
Illinois
The puppy was found along a country road
here in East Central
Illinois. She was well behaved, house
trained and in heat, her first
heat. She was later spayed.
She is very loving but is also a terror. She
chews everything including my glasses, book covers,
furniture, the wires out of my
electric blanket (unplugged) and the control
knob on my electric
wheelchair. She likes to play rough with my
neighbor's rat
terriers. She comes in very tired and
snuggles with me in my bed.

Here's
Rocket, the 5 yr. old, 13" boss of our home,
who totally "owns" Roddy & Deb Rauls here in
Anaheim, CA. He lives life to the fullest,
whether he's snoring, ridding the
neighborhood of evil cats, or playing with
his family/friends. You just can't beat a beagle
when it comes to adding a member to the household!
This is a photo of him doing his "Lab lifts"
to keep him in shape. |

Darla
Female
English
Bulldog
Ohio
This is Darla!! Darla is a loveable
puppy who wiggles up to greet any new
found friend (human or animal). Darla
came into my life when she was 9 weeks
old after I purchased her from a local
breeder. She's a beautiful white coated
puppy with a fawn colored circle around
her right eye that gives her so much
character. She's a loyal friend and a
great companion. Her favorite treats are
her Snasauges that she gets every night
before bed. She also enjoys special
treats like cut-up hotdogs and American
cheese at her obedience classes once a
week. She loves to go to the dog park
and socialize with anyone she can find!
Darla plays hard all day long and then
enjoys settling down in front of the
T.V. at night to relax and watch her
favorite channel, Animal Planet. She
cocks her head from left to right with
curiosity when she sees an animal of
interest on the screen. Darla never
fails to win the heart of anyone the
comes across her path. She's a great dog
and I'm so lucky to have her be a part
of my life! |

Orion
Female
Dalmatian Colorado
Orion and I live in Colorado Springs, CO
with my husband (her papa!)and her brother,
a cat named CK! Orion came to me from a
breeder that was unsure of what to do with a
deaf puppy. She was 12 weeks old when I
first laid eyes on her. She has fit in
since day 1! She will be 7yrs this
December. She is such a great dog, always
happy, always goofy she even smiles! She is
my hiking/running/coach potato buddy. We
call her my Velcro-dog because where ever I
am, you will for sure find Orion. As she
hiked ahead of me in this photo, she felt
like a big dog looking down from a huge rock
to see where I was. She has such a big
heart, you can see it in her kind eyes. |

Pearl
Female
Pug
Florida
Hi I'm Pearl, 10 months old and live with my
mom and dad in Crystal River, Florida. I am
what some would call a "weird only child",
but I'm just me. I love rides in the car or
dad's truck. If I get to hang my head out
the window I pretend I'm a big dog. I
sometimes get the strangest looks though and
can't imagine why. I love going to the
boat and have tried to make friends with a
goose, but he just hasn't warmed up to me
yet. When I first met my mom and dad
I brought an old steering wheel cover that
I liked to get over my head and wiggle down
so it looked like a skirt. Nobody has
figured out how exactly I can do that, but
if a pup has to have a talent that would be
mine. When it started to wear out mom asked
grandma if she could make me a skirt so now
I sport a fancy little tutu that I
absolutely love. This is a picture of me in
it. Do you think it makes me look fat? |

Tony & Niki
Tony -
male, 3 1/2 yrs old Niki - female, 3 yrs old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Our home with our
two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels,
Tony & Niki, is in Hendersonville, TN.
Cavalier's are the most adorable dogs
you could ever hope to have in your
life. They are the most charming,
people-loving little creatures we've
ever been around. They are literally
born to be companion dogs. They are so
affectionate & they love to be loved.
Such sweet dogs, you simply cannot
resist their big brown eyes. They are
both very smart & easily trained. Tony,
in particular, seems to understand every
word you say & he loves for you to just
sit & talk to him. He listens intently,
turning his head from side to side with
every word you say.
We adopted Tony when he was 3 months
old thru Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue. He
was born in Oklahoma after his mom was
rescued
from a puppy mill. We met his foster
parents in Memphis, TN, where we picked
him up. We instantly fell in love
with our little guy and he has brought
us nothing but joy ever since!
We were so
taken with the gentle, trusting, loving
nature of this breed, that when 3
months later, we had the opportunity to
purchase a puppy from a co-worker & we
jumped at it. Tony went along to help
in the selection of his new playmate.
Little Niki was 6 wks old and it was
love at first site between them! They
romped around & played like they knew
they were meant to be together. They
are best buds & he is such a little
gentleman toward her always.
We take them everywhere we go as
they are such great travelers, so well
behaved! They absolutely love going to
all the stores that will allow pets to
ride in their carts! Their next favorite
place to go is to ride on our pontoon
boat on the lake. They never meet a
stranger & everyone adores them! We
highly recommend this breed!
